Transitional & Sheer Shades

Add a modern touch to your home with Sheer Shades or Transitional Shades

Sheer Shades are fabric shades that hang and function like wood blinds, with fabric louvers that open and close when the shade is down as the shade is raised. The louvers are meshed between two layers of a sheer fabric. So you can get open or closed louvers in the down position and lower or raise the shade with the louvers closed.

Transitional Shades go by several names, sometimes called zebra shades or dual shades. These shades are made with two layers of fabric. Each layer is made with alternating bands of sheer fabric and a contrasting light control fabric. The alternating bands are where the term "zebra shades" comes from. These shades operate by sliding the two layers of fabric in alternate directions, thus closing/opening the amount of light that is let through. I apologize if I mangled the description of these shades. It's easier to understand by looking at a picture or sample shade.

And, of course, sheer and transitional shades can be motorized and integrated into home automation systems.
